    Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid

    Road Test

The Tucson plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) takes the Tucson Hybrid model a step further, thanks to the ability to drive under electric power for an EPA-estimated 33 miles before it transitions to regular hybrid operation. We think the Tucson is one of the better small SUV PHEVs, thanks to its well-integrated hybrid system that makes it a pleasure to drive. But, as with some other PHEVs, the Tucson is less efficient than the standard hybrid model once the electric power runs dry.
